Del Norte Psychiatry Telehealth Service

UIHS is proud to expand access to culturally centered mental health care with psychiatry services now available in Del Norte through clinic-to-clinic telehealth appointments.

This new psychiatry telehealth service reflects UIHS’s ongoing effort to support our clients access care closer to home, surrounded by the people, traditions, and support systems that are meaningful our community.

Mental health is an important part of overall wellness, and UIHS understands that healing happens best when care is rooted in respect and connection.

Through secure telehealth technology, patients can now meet with Psychiatry Providers in a safe, private, and supportive environment without the burden of traveling long distances. These services are designed to make it easier for individuals and families to receive the care they need while remaining connected to their local community and cultural supports.

Clients interested in Psychiatry Services can begin by scheduling an appointment with their preferred UIHS provider and requesting a referral to Psychiatry. Working together, providers can help coordinate care that supports each client’s unique needs, goals, and wellness journey.

UIHS also recognizes that technology and internet access can sometimes create barriers to care. For clients who are unable to connect to telehealth appointments from home, support is available at the Howonquet clinic.

Community members can call 707-487-0215 to schedule an appointment, and UIHS staff will help connect them to their psychiatry visit on site. No personal device or cell phone is needed – UIHS provides the equipment, space, and support to ensure patients feel comfortable and connected throughout their visit.

By bringing psychiatry services to Del Norte through telehealth, UIHS continues its purpose of caring for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and community wellness of the people it serves.

Community members are encouraged to contact their provider or the Howonquet Clinic (707-487-0215) to learn more about available services.
