To meet increasing demand and a with a commitment to better serve its clients, United Indian Health Services continues to expand at existing locations while adding more locations with more services. 

Potawot Health Village

The Potawot Health Village remodel is well underway and is getting closer to completion, though there is plenty of work to be done. UIHS is targeting late spring to early summer for remodel expansion completion. The work greatly expands capacity by adding 4 new exam rooms, bringing the total number of exam rooms at Potawot to 17. Pharmacy services will be greatly enhanced through this remodel as a new climate-controlled facility is being built with state-of-the-art equipment.  

Rrak Jach Village (Valley East) 

To help with the impact of the Potawot remodel has on our clients, in spring UIHS opened 5 small exam rooms at Rrak Jach Village, in Valley East in Arcata. Rrak Jach has potential for more expansion in the future.  

Hou’l Aquatic Center

UIHS is working with architects and engineers for construction of the Hou’l Aquatic Center to start spring 2026. The location is the site of the former Easter Seals pool and will be extensively remodeled to serve, Behavioral health and more.
