As a proud member of the Pulikla Tribe of the Yurok People and part of the McCovey family; service, resilience, and community have always been part of who I am. I have a deep passion for helping others. This foundation guided me as I began my path at UIHS. My desire to achieve better client care led me to reach beyond my role, connect with other departments, and continuously seek knowledge.
My journey with UIHS began in 2017. I started as a Front Office Assistant, where I learned the foundations of our operation. I later transitioned to a Medical Assistant position and have now been with UIHS for 7 years. Serving in both roles allowed me to gain invaluable experience, develop professionally, and grow personally – I never imagined I would grow into the role I have today as the Front Office Supervisor here at UIHS.
These opportunities not only prepared me to be a strong leader but also helped shape the woman I am today. Stepping into this new role represents growth, trust, and purpose. UIHS is more than a workplace; it is a community that invests in its people. The encouragement, mentorship, and support from my leaders opened doors I never imagined. This organization creates opportunities for those willing to work hard and continue learning. I am deeply grateful for what UIHS has given me, and I am committed to giving back by leading a strong team, fostering growth, and continuing to grow both professionally and personally. I look forward to making a meaningful impact in this new chapter.
