  Maternal and Child Nutrition

The Woman, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is a nutrition program that provides nutrition information and vouchers for healthy foods that can be purchased at a local store.

The foods that may be purchased included: milk, juice, eggs, cheese, cereal, dry beans, peas or lentils and/or peanut butter. If a woman is exclusively breastfeeding (using no baby formula for her baby) she also receives extra vouchers for fresh carrots, canned tuna, cheese and juice.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum or a parent (mom or dad) or foster parent of a child under the age of five you may be eligible for the WIC program. Even if you and your partner work you may still be eligible. Are you Medi-cal eligible? If the answer is yes, then you are also WIC eligible. All ethnic groups are welcome.

The WIC program provides breastfeeding support and information. We also provide electric breat pumps for moms who may need them.
