United Indian Health Services Pharmacy

The Medical Department Provides acute, episodic, referral care, and hospital care services for eligible Indian clients. Some examples of these services are: prenatal care, well child care, family planning services, care for injuries and acute illness, delivery of babies in the hospital, and hospital and ICU care. UIHS is one of a few Indian clinics in California whose physicians provide in hospital care to clients. We also provide Vision Care Services, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, and Allergy Care.


	General Services Medical Staff

	General Services Specialty Care Available at Our Clinics By Referral Vision care including ophthalmology, eye exams & glasses; Allergy Consultation; acupuncture; rheumatology; consultation; physical therapy. Acute Hospital Care UIHS physicians admit clients to Mad River Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital In Humboldt County and Sutter Coast Hospital in Del Norte County. Nursing Services Potawot Health Village and Smith River have Registered Nurses on Duty every day to triage patients, assist with medication refills, and provide phone advice.
	Medical Staff UIHS Medical Staff - Humbolt County Timothy Nicely M.D., Medical Director, Corrine Frugoni M.D., Dennie Schultheis M.D., John Nelson M.D., Katie Terra M.D., Eileen Mosher, F.N.P., Debra Harrison, P.A.-C., Judith Eskes, R.N., P.H.N., Patricia Williams R.N., C.D.E., Christine Woultee, R.N. Potawot has five physicians and two mid-levels on staff full time. These providers work at all the clinics in Humboldt County. UIHS Medical Staff - Del Norte County Jennifer Betts M.D., Clint Pearson M.D., Chad Gagnon, P.A.-C., Sharon Gillespie, R.N., Catherine Wiley, R.N Smith River has two physicians and two mid-level practitioners full time. These providers work at all clinics in Del Norte County. Other Medical Staff Other medical staff who provide support are the Medical Receptionists, Medical Assistants, Lab Manager, Lab Technicians, and one Administrative Assistant.
