The Administration Division has five areas consisting
of the Executive Office, Fiscal, Human
Resources Department, Organization Support Department,

1. 2003 Annual Board
and Staff Meeting - This all day meeting, March 18, 2003, was held at the
Arcata Community Center. The theme for this meeting was "Working
Together for a Stronger Community." The annual meeting means
all UIHS clinics are closed for staff to attend. UIHS recognized board
members, staff, and community people with various awards. There were
presentations of Service Awards, Special Awards, Certificates of Appreciation,
and "Friends are Good Medicine" awards. This year the keynote
presentation was by the California Indian Health Partnership. The
cultural presentation was a brush dance demonstration. Julian Lang
sang a couple of songs, one of which was the "Salmon Blues"
song.

2. Art and Cultural
Displays at UIHS - Over the years, UIHS purchased original artworks and developed posters for different events sponsored by UIHS.
The art is on display at all UIHS clinic sites, either original or
in the poster format. At the Potawot Health Village there are display
cabinets. There have several types of exhibits in them over the months.
There have been many types of basket displays, regalia, stick game
materials, etc. Check them out when you visit us.

3. Statement

He made this statement at the Dedication Day of the Potawot Health
Village, October 7, 2001.
